The Arch Studio site, with its featured building beside the practice's leaders and its contact page

Arch Studio

Arch Studio needed a whole site: a rotating showcase at home, twelve projects, the practice behind them, and a contact page. The hard part was legibility: the copy sits over photographs that change shot to shot.

Project Background

Arch Studio is an architecture practice, three people in 2007 and now a small team with a large network. They came with four pages: a home page cycling four featured buildings, a portfolio of twelve, a page on the people, and a contact page with a form and two offices. Nearly every heading sits over a photograph, so the scrims are measured against the pixels underneath rather than set to a flat opacity. Scope ran from 320 up, with Lighthouse at 100 in Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices and SEO.
